Natalie Merchant, the beloved singer-songwriter known for her poetic lyrics and haunting melodies, has released her ninth solo studio album on Nonesuch Records. Titled Keep Your Courage, the album features a diverse range of collaborations and contributions. Merchant produced the album herself and enlisted the help of various artists, including vocalist Abena Koomson-Davis from Resistance Revival Chorus, Celtic folk group Lúnasa, and Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh. Jazz trombonist Steve Davis also provided horn arrangements. Keep Your Courage includes nine original songs by Merchant, as well as a rendition of "Hunting the Wren" by Ian Lynch of Irish band Lankum. Fans who purchase the vinyl LP edition will be treated to four newly remastered bonus tracks from earlier albums that have never before been available on this format.
