Philip Glass - Solo Piano - Black & White Marbled Color Vinyl Import 180g
Glass invites his listeners, “unplugged”, to experience Solo Piano with no electronic keyboards or overdubs - pure, solo piano. His 1988 work “Metamorphosis” draws from Kafka's short story, and its track “Metamorphosis Two” forms the main musical theme of “The Hours”. Pearl Jam even uses “Metamorphosis Two” to introduce their concerts! Furthermore, “Mad Rush” was written for the Dalai Lama's NYC visit, and “Wichita Vortex Sutra” resulted from Glass and poet Allen Ginsberg's chance meeting in an East Village bookstore. This limited-edition release, featuring an 8-page booklet, is available as 2000 individually numbered copies on black & white marbled vinyl.
