Excess virtue can lead to danger or impose limits on practical action—a difficult lesson learned by those who have seen their youthful ideals fade. Remaining rigidly loyal to a fixed conception of identity doesn’t benefit us as adults. "Loyalty," the third and finest album from The Weather Station (and the first under Paradise of Bachelors), grapples with these complex ideas of fidelity and betrayal—toward our idealism, our understanding of character, our memories, and our relationships with family, friends, and lovers. It marks a courageous leap into new sonic and psychological territories. This evolution perfectly aligns with Toronto artist Tamara Lindeman’s renowned songwriting. Recorded during the winter of 2014 at La Frette Studios near Paris in close partnership with Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) and Robbie Lackritz (Feist), the album distills her exquisite songwriting into eleven emotionally resonant vignettes and intimate sketches, reminiscent of fellow Canadians Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, and David Wiffen, yet distinctly her own.

We ship within two business days when possible. Remember, Media Mail is cheap but gets very little love from the postal service. Expect long waits and few tracking updates. We recommend USPS Priority or UPS Ground.

Keep away from the sun.

Never place it next to a Justin Bieber record.

Treat it like your grandma, you know if she was a record. Know what I mean? Tender care, don't talk back, and never interupt during Murder She Wrote. Wait - what the hell was I writing about-
