British Sea Power - Man of Aran - Yellow/Blue Color Vinyl
British Sea Power - Man of Aran - Yellow/Blue Color Vinyl
In 2009, sea power, formerly known as British Sea Power, were tasked by the Edinburgh Film Festival to create a unique soundtrack for the 1934 cinematic masterpiece. The band premiered their score by performing live during a festival screening, and followed up with a studio version of the album in May. From London to Brighton to Sheffield, cinemas hosted screenings and events with the band and on a series of islands, including Jersey, the Hebrides, and a Norwegian Arctic islet. Upon its release, the album was lauded for its harmonious integration with the original film and its brilliance as a stand-alone work. Praised by outlets like The Quietus, Hot Press, and NME, fans can now bask in this "understated classic" on vinyl with this reissue.
