Formed in the mid-'70s by the legendary David Byrne, Chris Franz, Tina Weymouth and former Modern Lover Jerry Harrison, Talking Heads rose from their CBGB's origins to become Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and one of the most cutting-edge and impactful bands of all-time. Recording their second album at the exotic Compass Point Studio's in the Bahamas, the addition of pioneering ex-Roxy Music keyboardist Brian Eno as co-producer only further sharpened the band's sound. Titled More Songs About Buildings And Food, the album included a cover of Al Green's "Take Me To The River," bringing the thrill of the group’s R&B-inspired sound to the masses with a successful #26 ranking in the US. Enriched by Jerry Harrison's guitar work and David Byrne's uncompromising songs, Brian Eno's producing saw the group reach a newfound level of greatness far removed from typical New Wave bands of the time.
