A Study Of Losses is Beirut's seventh studio album, created by Zach Condon. The project began in spring 2023 when Viktoria Dalborg, the director of the Swedish circus Kompani Giraff, approached Condon about composing music for their upcoming show, inspired by a novel by German author Judith Schalansky. Through close collaboration, A Study Of Losses evolved into an unexpected musical piece. Boasting 18 tracks and nearly an hour in duration, it stands as Beirut's largest album to date and features some of their most exquisite work.
