In 2010, Virginia native Jonathan Russell and California transplant Josiah Johnson chose Seattle to be the epicenter of their musical collaboration and The Head and The Heart began! Drums, keyboard, violin and bass added the essential elements and in no time the band was rocking sold-out shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco, the Paramount Theatre in Seattle and Terminal 5 in New York, gathering an army of devoted fans! Sub Pop was delighted to sign the group and their debut album quickly became one of the label's top-selling, first-time releases!
