 Further is the Chemical Brothers' first album without a guest vocalist since their debut. As a result, the duo is free to focus on immersing listeners in the sound world usually experienced at shows. The album opens with a beatless track called "Snow," followed by the 12-minute single "Escape Velocity," which builds up like a rocket launch before the beat kicks in. The impressive effects and distortion in the track would make Kevin Shields or Sonic Boom proud. The rest of the album takes different directions, but "Another World" stands out as a shimmering throwback to the '80s that would make chillwave artists like Neon Indian and Washed Out jealous.
