Julia Jacklin - The Gem - Turquoise Color Vinyl Record
The Gem is Julia Jacklin's fourth album and her first for 4AD, the label with a long history of distinctive, artist-led indie records. It takes its name from a small Melbourne bar she found after moving to the city in 2017, and it was recorded entirely in Melbourne, produced by Jacklin with Robert Muinos.
The songs sit in the push and pull between wanting to be loved and wanting to stay free, a tension Jacklin has called the central question of her life. Lead single "Get Away From Me (I Think I'll Love You Soon)" is a playful nod to eighties jangle rock and the Melbourne guitar sound she fell for, while "Walk On Me" stretches past six minutes and closer "I Wish" features The Maes. Fans of Don't Let the Kids Win, Crushing and PRE PLEASURE will hear her at her most personal.
This pressing is the indie-exclusive turquoise colour vinyl edition, a lovely match for a record this intimate. Add it to your shelf of modern singer-songwriter essentials.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
